Massachusets North Coast

VIKINGPHOTO US EXPEDITION 2009

In late April 2009 we had the pleasure of doing a Vikingphoto photo shoot at the Massachusets North Coast. A coastline at the Atlantic ocean north of the city of Boston.

This was actually plan B as we were initially heading for NYC.

It was not a bad choice though. We had some great weather and very good lighting conditions. 

The coastline at the Gloucester Massachusets peninsula is very picturesqe with lot of opportunities to take good pictures. It is also a historic place where the first settlers came to the "new world". 

People here is very nice and friendly and very proud and concerned about preserving their history and legacy. 

Something you can explore when walking the streets of the different town and through the sailing ship "Friendship of Salem" which can be seen in Salem harbor.

We did a two day trip from New Hampshire to Gloucester, Rockport, Cape Ann, Salem and Swampscott before returning to NH. It was two busy but great days!

På safari

Når dette skrives er nesten turen over. Vi sitter på flyplassen i Frankfurt og oppsummerer alt vi har vært med på - og det er ikke lite. Vi fikk med oss to safari'er i Krugerparken. Den første foregikk den kvelden vi kom frem og så full dags tur dagen etter.

Kveld safari'en ble spesiell der vi kjørte rundt i en åpen bil og lyste ut i bush'en med lyskastere. En elefant syntes vi ble for nærgående og skremte oss vekk bare få meter fra bilen.

Dagen etter fikk vi se og oppleve mange forskjellige dyr slik som sebra, elefant, giraff, nesehorn og mye mer. Kort sagt det kunne ikke blitt bedre!
